The title of an Egyptian pop song BASHTAALAK SA'AT ('I miss you sometimes') and a sonnet by Shakespeare SHALL I COMPARE YOU TO A SUMMER'S DAY question the space and time of the narrative. A narrator tells of an encounter between two men. A love story - where does it begin? A glance, a smile, a rendezvous. Director Mohammad Shawky Hassan adapts the story and plot of One Thousand and One Nights and tells a queer love story. This experimental feature film plays with the boundaries of language and cultural traditions.
